How to tell if car has hurst shifter?

Hi is there an rpo code for the hurst shifter? my build sheet says 6 speed with hurst shifter and leather knob? but when I bought the car it does not have the hurst leather knob with the H on it. can I tell if it has the hurst shifter by looking at it? or did some switch knobs on me?

no it looks like a leather one from regular 6 spd.

My car was ordered at a candian dealership they must of had a different order form this was from my build sheet all other build sheets I have seen have mn6 as just 6spd manual transmission does not say with hurst shifter any one else ever see this?

If you remove the boot around your shifter you cand see a brass bottom plate. IF the plate is a 1/4" solid brass plate its a Hurst. If its thin and rounded plate its not a Hurst.

And by boot I mean the bottom boot that you would remove if you were changing the shifter. Not the leather one on top. Its held in place by about 7-8 screws.

The one on the left is a regular shifter the one on the right is a Hurst.
My TA came with the regular, then I bought a hurst off of someone here. Then I bought a Pro 5.0.

Personaly, I have never seen a WS6 6spd car that didnt have a Hurst shifter in it stock...

Even if it has one now, if your car does not have RPO code BBS, it did not come from the factory w/ a Hurst shifter.

The Hurst shifter was optional on any 6-speed equipped f-body '99 thru '02. It was never packaged w/ other options / packages like WS6 or NHRA. It's popularity increased towards the end, more M6 cars had it than didn't.
