    A real WS6 formula will have a more subtle ramair hood that actually forms one opening on each side instead of the parting line you see in the pics that makes it appear to have 2 openings on each side.

    If I'm not mistaken I believe that hood is still available too.

    Looks on Door For Codes. Or Glovebox. All Trans Am Are Formula conversion

    WS9 is the Formula conversion Pkg
    W66 is the Formula Merchandise Pkg
    Y82 is the Trans Am Merchandise Pkg

    WS9 + W66 = Formula
    WS9 + Y82 = Trans Am
    WS9 + W66 + WS6 = Formula WS6
    WS9 + Y82 + WS6 = Trans Am WS6



    They Started Making Ws6 for 1996.

    1996-2000 On Formula (01-02 GMMG Formula Blackbird.)

    1996-2002 On Trans Ams.

    Should of been on the Cowl Tag also My `79 T/A had the WS4 Trans Am RPO on it's Cowl Tag.
    Yeah it's nice when they maintain the cars heritage
    Actually the W66 code goes all the way back to the base level Firebird 400 for 1967.

    Not on my cowl tag. They only did that kind of stuff mainly at the Norwood plant. My car was built in Van Nuys. It actually has a couple of different things on the cowl tag that designate it as a Formula.
