1120 per month for daycare really sucks the money out of your paycheck lol. Also the obvious things like living expenses, which is part of the reason i sold my T/A. Been riding bikes for the time being but im sooo excited its almost time to sell the RR and get another f-body.

Damn, you sure are underpaid for what you do. You might want to consider law enforcement in a different part of the country...The Suffolk County Police Officers here on Long Island pull down over $100k in just 5 years and one this year went over $200k. with O.T.

I mean, you really don't need to make that much to afford this car. This car is under that whole "most bang for the buck" impression isn't it. I could've bought a honda civic for the same price, but that's like buying a wooden mattress to sleep on. People invest in mattresses because they spend 6-8hrs a day laying on it. Therefore, I'll invest in a more exciting automobile to get to work and anywhere else i want to travel! Same concept really.
Only real factors are gas and insurance. Since i'm over thirty i only pay $85/month for full coverage. bout $250-300 in gas though. So there is definitley some variables.

It is a good bang for your buck. That's one of the reasons I bought one.

Eh, I grew up in Florida and I don't want to leave. Cost of living is not too bad here either.

I got mine with 85k on it for $10,200. They say you should only spend 30% of your yearly income on a car. ie: you make 30k, you should buy a car for 10k. That way you can actually afford it and other things. I don't know who "they" are, but it makes sense.

I just bought another one for 8K. Payments are 209$ a month. Not bad, the last time I had payments was a brand new charger and the payments were 590$ a month.

Not saying ur wrong, but I know a lot of ppl who drive lambo's and ferrari's who are nowhere near the $1,000,000 mark every year.

Depends on how you look at though. For alot of us up north this is a second(or third) vehicle. There's no way I'm driving this F-body in the snow and ice. And it sure as heck isn't gonna tow my boat or haul much stuff around. Still, I'm not rich by any means, but I do earn a little more then a few of my buddies who can't have a nice toy like this

    This is a repost.....

What do you do for a living? How much do you make,

EDIT: Technically I guess it's not, considering this thread is for "bird" owners.

About 60k in the Navy, but with three kids, house payment, insurance, SUV for the family to go places together, food, utilities, beer, smokes, lead foot....yeah it it adds up pretty quick and really puts a minus on the NET. Damn! What happened?

Well my year end varies... but last year I pulled 62k. I am a BlackJack Dealer at Tulsa Hard Rock Casino. Some dealers that work nights are pulling over 85k. But no amount of money can replace nights and weekends off

Starting salary there is 57k, and in five years it becomes 97k. I live in Oklahoma, and bought a 3/2/2 1112 sqaure foot house, built in 1994 in a family neighborhood for 98k. Lets see you buy the same house in Suffolk County for under 100k. Cost of living is everything.
