How fast does a 6sp/ls1 go

How fast does a stockish/bolt on 6 speed ls1 go in 1-6 with 3.42's

Does this look close? Just curious. I rarely look down at the speedo when im messin around.

First- 59
Second- 80
Third- 105
Forth- 130
Fifth- 165
Sixth- X

I pulled 186mph when I had my 3.42s. Now that I have 4.10s I can get to 160mph before I back off due to the engine spinning at 6000+ for longer than I'd like.

186? I thought top speed was 162ish

Sounds about right. I might have hit 110 in third. If not it was pretty close. I wonder what top speed would be with the limiter removed on a stockish car.

I refuse to torture my T56 by going WOT in OD gears.
124 is the top of 4th gear on a 26" tire....spinning to 6700.

No that does not look close. You can't rev to 59 MPH in 1st gear, stockish! You'd be about 6200 RPM at about 47 MPH in first, I am always hitting the rev limiter (6200) in 3rd at the drag strip, so I have to shift into 4th for more speed, and I usually trap near 107. Stock size tires, stock 3.42 rear gears. I don't have the exact RPMs right now, but no way you do 59 in 1st gear, or shift out of 3rd at 105. Only number that looks right is your 5th gear speed.

52MPH in 1st at 6200RPM on a stock size tire.

This brings up the question I have about 6th. Anybody know with 3.42 gear what HP is needed to make 6th the top speed gear (meaning it will exceed what is possible in 5th, even if maximum rpm's aren't at limiter)?

Some of you guys are nuts, I raced a new Camaro to 140 and was pretty nervous. Any little thing happens your fucked. Car moves over a lane, deer, who knows. Even though it was late on a highway and traffic was light. Maybe I'm just getting old.
