Just make sure you have the tires that are rated to go that fast (ie: Z rated tires) I really don't know too many places where you can get up that high and maintain it for very long anyway. But hey I'm the idiot with a SS camaro in the slow lane always doing the speedlimit anyways.
Hit E470 and you have plenty of road to hit that speed lol...

I also read the verts are limited to 155 mph. Of course there are a variety of other sites reporting different numbers, but these are the numbers I have seen most often.

C&D 8/99 issue tested a SS, WS6 and Cobra, all verts, all manual trans. The SS ran out of steam at 160, the WS6 hit it's governer at 163. Now tell me that ram air don't do something.

ok..ram air doesnt do anything at very high speeds you do see a very little gain from a "true" ram air set up

Having built dozens of high performance car engines, and even more bike engines, I can tell you intake manifolds make a huge difference in top end. This probably accounts for the 02' rating of 167 mph.

    My limiter is still set.
I have ZERO reason to endanger myself and others. Car rarely goes over 100MPH...and if it does, 99% of the time it is on the drag strip.

Yeah, I don't even want to see where mine tops out. I feel so unsafe even at 120, and I wouldn't do that with any other cars around. Unless I was running from the police.

    what about the 03-04 cobras??
The 03' and 04' Cobras were limited to 155 mph. Of course you could disable the limiter for some real piss in your pants thrills...lol

    http://ford.jbcarpages.com/Mustang/2004/index4.php

I read somewhere the 03'/04' Cobra would do over 170 with the limiter disabled... Not my idea of fun in a car with it's high-speed handling characteristics. One of my cop friends totaled his when he lost control in a high speed turn. The insurance replaced the car with a new one, and month later he wrecked it the same way.

5th and 6th are overdrive gears. They aren't made for power.
