    How did it feel?

I keep looking at autotrader, looking for my dream trans am. I have seen so many that i would of loved to have and that were at a reasonable price. ( i need to stop looking at cars it makes me damn anxious)

Now i have a good job and soon to get another income. its a matter of time until i am driving my M6 T/A home. ( lets hope, everything goes as planed )

How did it feel when you got in the car and fired it up for the first time while you owned it, and got to drive it home... god i cant wait

Another quick question... what do you guys pay for insurance ( full coverage or liability) i called up my insuracne company and they said for an LS1 liability would be around 140-180 and full coverage would be 240-250 ish ... will those rates drop when im 17 ? i have a clean record.

Felt like heaven, and with it being snow and ice 7 months of the year still feels like the first time. I can't wait for it to all melt so i can run again. Yearly coverage runs me about $1600(go government insurace). ALmost got ticket in the first week of me having it. but got out of it because the cop only heard me and it had dealer plates on it(long story). I had to punch it through alite becuse an idiot was going to run the yellow while i was turning left. So up goes both tires and sideways i go through the intersection.

Man... that's a lot of money!!! My youngest son pays $120 a month full coverage for a Honda Accord... I suppose it could be twice that much for twice the car!!!! LOL...!!!

You don't want to know what my full coverage is, I'm OLD!!! ($52 a month )

    Good luck... and drive slow!.......

Your mom must have tickets on her record, but 16 and muscle car will be pricey. When I was younger I always had a $500 junker car with minimal coverage that I was listed the primary driver of and had the sports cars in my moms name as only an occasional driver and saved a ton of money. I never paid over $100 month that way. Now that I'm an old guy I have a 01 T/A and wife an 06 Eclipse GS and we only pay $75 a month for both. It's the only benifit to getting old so far!

I'm 21, and on my 2001 Formula, full coverage costs me $120/mo with one speeding ticket on record (86mph in 70mph zone) The ticket cost more than one month's insurance($135/ticket).

it has a lot to do with where you live. Im in NY and under rents insurance but with me as the primary driver. (theyre stiffs bout puttin them as the driver argh ) 285 a month full coverage. anything that has you listed as the driver of the car is gonna be expensive. only way to get that down is to put your mom as the only driver, and you driving her normal car. just try to not get in an accident wit it lol. also try to put down as much of the loan as you can it helps a ton. i started with 11k but paid down almost half with $$ i had now its only $140 a month.

oh and besides almost spinnin out on the way home.... hehe, the first week or two the passing and balls to the wall power will feel amazin
then youll really wanna learn how to drive it lol

Just take it easy for the first week or so and get used to all that power under the hood.... theyre a big step up from 210hp V6's haha

i wont be able to put down alot on the loan ( well none at all ) im taking 10k and i will have like 1.5k in the bank i plan to spend about 10 or 11 on the T/a then i have to have cash for the tags and all that shit but after that i will be making over 1k a month so can i just pay for than the 318 a month and pay it down fast? will that bring down the payments or will that just pay it off faster?

another thing why would u pay half the loan? then whats the point of taking that much

stupid of me to ask... but
hypothetically, do you think it is possible to afford taking a loan on a $4500 car, with minimal insurance (just liability), making less than $600 a month?

hate to tell you but... probally not. I think if i remember your also 16 years old. To get a loan on a car the bank has to have it in their name. SO that means you have to carry full coverage.

There is a unsecure loan that doesnt require you to have full coverage but it is ussaly high interest rate and ur parents are gonna have to have almost perfect credit ( you dont want that cause ull pay like 15% or something )

There is a home equilty loan that goes ageisnt ur parents house which is low interest rate, but ull have to talk to ur parents about that..

under 600 a month will be tough to afford a car... think about gas, maintance, loan, insurance, food money, i mean the list goes on. i would look for another job if i were you.

Pst me and i can help you out i was in the same boat as you...

o ya your probally gonna want full coverage anyways.. so you dont wreck and be out of a car and be f***ed.
