How can I verify some of the mods my car has?
So when I bought my Trans Am from the previous owner he said that the owner before him had all this work, but he didn't have the paper work at the time. I was completely fine paying the price I did without proof of said mods even if it were "stock" as a '98-'02 Trans Am is my dream car. After purchasing he lost contact with me and never got back with me on acquiring the proof from the previous owner.
I never rode in a LS1 Trans Am so to me this thing seems ridiculously fast compared to my past cars (Fieros and a V6 Firebird..) so I honestly can't tell if it really is cranking out "400 hp". Supposedly the biggest mod is it having a 6.0 Aluminum GTO block? Plus a bunch of internal work like stronger lifts/blah blah blah which I know I wouldn't know without ripping apart into. The same for all the upgraded transmission work to handle the horsepower. So I'm guessing the only modification I can easily identify would be the block right with some type of identification stamped on?

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
Knowing the difference in looks from stock to aftermarket alone will help.
Easiest way for us to help you, would be to take a ton of pics and post them up. Several angles from under the hood, several of the from underneath the motor, and the drivetrain.
Also, a local performance shop could as well, even some good tuners who are familiar with f-bodies would be able to help.

Sounds good. It's currently really rainy and wet outside, and I have a car in my garage I can't pull out so it'll have to wait for pictures, but I'll try to get them soon so you all can help me identify if I really have a 6.0 block/etc.
