Horsepower Estimate?
Hey, I was just wondering what kind of gains I should see from a Heads and Cam Package.
I believe the heads are Patriot Stage II's and the cam is a 228. I am also getting a forged bottom end, and all the supporting mods to the engine.
On the listed mods I made 326rwhp/335rwtq on a Mustang Dyno at Straightline Performance in New Lenox, IL.
Mod List:
- SLP Lid, K&N Filter, Smooth Bellow
- Ported Throttle Body
- LS6 Intake
- Fast Toys Ram Air
- 180 Thermostat
- Pacesetter LT Headers + Off-Road Y-Pipe
- Magnaflow Cat-Back
- Strange 3.73's
- Yank 3600 Stall
- Free Mods
Do you think I'll break the 400rwhp barrier with the H/C and forged internals package? Thanks in advance!Last edited by CWW17; 07-08-2008 at 08:44 PM.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with where I stood after that tune. I was thinking in the 340/350rwhp range, but the car ran great and felt really strong. However, I do think some of that disappointment can be attributed to Dynojets and people posting inflated numbers on here.

yeah definitly......LPE only put my car at 395 rwhp 399 rwtq when they let it loose to the previous owner acording to the dyno...... no headers though...i think long tubes will put me in the 430 range.....car also had 0 miles on it at that dyno.....the real test on the road puts ls3 c6's and c5z06s in there place

Numbers are currently great for a stalled automatic on a mustang dyno.
Look for 380-420RWHP once the heads and cam are on. On that same dyno. Depends on how loose the stall is.
That said, you will outrun 440RWHP M6 cars at the track no problem. Plenty there for mid 11's and better.2008 Trailblazer SS
Yank PTB3600, Kooks 1 7/8" LT's, 4" intake, E-fans, Magnaflow, Sonnax kit, tranny cooler, tune.
Lowered, HID's, tinted.

Money, man. I wish I could afford it all but I had to forego something.

White- 1999 Transam WS6
Care to explain why? Is it because its an automatic and it takes considerably less skill to get consistent times when juxtaposed with its manual counterpart(ie: lots of m6 drivers suck?)?
Or is there some other technical reason?
You just saddened me because I have an m6 (even though I suck at driving it now so your comment would apply to me)
