HID conversion kit?

This is a discussion on HID conversion kit? within the Firebird / WS6 forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; nicee I have Xenon White for my fogs but right now I am looking still for the HID kit...

    This is who I get my 3 personal sets ($70)from and a couple for people who's cars I've worked on. They also have a slim kit for like ($98), Depend what you wanna spend. This is what 6oook looks like.

    I didnt get HID fogs because when I lock or unlock my car they flash and that kills the ballast. So if your doin that make sure you disable your fogs from flashing

    They arent Hid I dont think they are a XENON white but not HID

    This is where the conversion kit is. Just take out the old sealed beam and put these in. Its very easy. For the wiring just cut off the stock connector and put some female wire connectors on them and there you go

    What's the difference between that and a kit that uses ballasts?

    That is just the conversion kit, the one with the ballast is an HID kit. The hids are bulbs that go into that conversion kit

    If you have HID fogs and they flash it will kill the ballast quickly. So either disable that feature or dont get HIDs for the fogs

    I have the slim digital hid ballast for the for rather than the standar ballast and have had no problems. There gaurenteed anyway.

    I used the bulbs they came with for a couple months and it was better than stock but the hid's made it soo much better.

    The carkings kit looks as if the 4703 lense has a reflector unlike the eurolamps lenses. That should reduce glare and chance of blinding others. Anyone try this kit?
