Help please... side vents and capliper paint

I need to remove the side vents to have them painted.
Previous owner painted the vents silver and they are peeling.
Can someone please edjumacate me on how to safely remove these and possible tips for paint.

EDIT: Never mind about the caliper paint, I've done some research.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you remove your wheel and the cover guard thing inside the fender (cant remember what its called right now fuuuuuu) You should be able to get them from the inside with no problem.

As far as painting them, i repainted mine once. I just cleaned them up with brake cleaner i think it was and then just used spray paint and they held up pretty good.

I used a can of VHT caliper spray paint and it turned out perfect. There are little imperfections, but you can only see those if you literally put your nose on the caliper.

I painted my calipers with Dupli-color ceramic paint. It brushes on, so you don't have to mask anything up. I bought it from Amazon for about $20.

Thanks for the help everyone. The vents came out from the outside with a coat hanger.
I'm going with the duplicolor paint kit. I've heard good and bad things about it. Since its not a DD driver or a show car I'm going with the brush on stuff.

New question, where do I get new vents? These look like its going to be a pain in the A$$ to prep for paint.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would wash them really well with hot water and dish soap and use an old toothbrush to get in all the nooks and crannies. Shake them off and then blow them dry with compressed air, or a hair dryer. If you use something like Krylon's Fusion paint there should be no need for further prep. I have used it many times and it adheres well to plastic.

Thanks for the info guys. I looked at buying new ones and I found them for $17.xx/each, way too ritch for my blood. I'll be going this route for sure, just gotta wait for warmer weather to be able to spray.

    Thanks again, very helpful.
