Burnt Orange- 1996 Firebird
HELP!
Ok i have a 1996 v6 firebird, automatic. Problem is when i romp on the gas, as soon as i hit 60 or so mph when the car is supposed to shift, it redlines hardcore for 2-4 seconds before shifting to the next gear. I called my local GM store and they said it is just some factory fuel shut off thing or something b.s. like that. As you can tell when it comes to showing off and racing ppl it kinda puts a damper on things lol. If someone could give me any ideas or clues as to what the problem may be, or if it is just some factory safety device or something please let me know, thanks everyone.
And if you think you may know what the problem is please tell me what you think i should do to fix the problem, thanks again everyone.
