Glad to hear you had a easy fix. I have already changed the motor on my driver side light and it wasn't really much fun not looking forward to when the passenger one goes bad.

As there is absolutely no grinding or anything i assume my gears are ok (for now)
and i have to ask... is there any substantial need to go to brass gears if a 180 deg
rotate will put fresh teeth in the business part of the operation?

most swap over to the brass gear so they never have to worry about going through the PITA is is to fix it. If in a bind for $$$ doing the 180 is a viable fix.

I tried that and they lasted about a week more.... You have to figure if the nylon is ready to go, its gonna go unilaterally.

I wanna say Rodney Dickman. Awesome kit. Take you an evening to do. Best mod ever.

I put metal gears in my headlight motors and I love them. It seams like the metal gears have more control of the headlights, when they go up and down.
