    headlight movement with keyless entry

The other day I parked my car and turned off the headlights and that terrible grinding noise occured, so i know that the plastic gears have finally given out. My question is why everytime i press the unlock button on my remote the lights go up and down? Its becoming a nuisance in parking lots to unlock my car and scare the crap out of anybody around it.

    Thanks for any help....SOS

took me a while to buy into this, but he's right. I just couldnt see how it was effected buy the keyless, but it is.

Heres a link to some brass and aluminum gears that will ensure you wont have to deal with this again.

why does using the remote cause the lights to go up and down only when the gear is bad?

i asked these same questions when i got my formula. The trick is not to ask, but to just believe what is said about it and fix it....i still dont have a clear reason why the keyless effects it, but i fixed it by swappin the gears. do it.....do it

ive heard its because the headlights arent synchronized anymore after one of the headlight motors gears go bad...its like the cars way of telling you theres sumthing wrong...had the same problem too, then the motor starting making grinding noises...thats when i decided to do the motor rebuild with the aluminum or brass gears, it was really easy and costs way less that a new headlight motor that will just eventually do the same thing over time
