    Headlight motor removal

    Hey everyone,

I recently got the brass gear replacements for my headlights and I've gotten to the point of unbolting the motor, however I can't pull the motor out from the well because it is still connected by wiring.

Does anyone know how I can get the wiring disconnected from the connector that it feeds into so I can pull it out and make the gear replacement?

    Removing the headlight motor

Hey, thanks for all the quick responses...

I think I found something that helped...a little bit. Too bad the guys' big, hairy arms got in the way.

I heard it was a huge pain in the ass to do and my mechanic only charged me 20 bucks or so to install a whole replacement motor...good luck with the install.

Yeah, I figured everyone was enjoying their Sunday... It was a huge pain in the ass, but I finally got it all done, installed, & tested. No more "grrrrrrind" when the light goes down! And just think, it was only doing that for the past 3 years!

I get around to things...at some point. We'll see if it actually lasts as long as Rodney D. states it will.
