    Headlight Issue

    is anyone ever had a problem with there lights making a loud buzzing noise when they shut? it goes on for like 10 secs and goes off, i think i might have to replace the motor in it or something

    i have not expierenced that in my T/A but when my dad had his 95, it did make that buzzing sound. Mine just seem to slam shut really loud.

    I have the same issue with my T/A. From what I have researched, the gears in the headlight motor have gone bad. You can replace the gear with a metal one. There is a website where you can buy the kit for both headlights for about $80. Do a search. I don't remember what the name of the website was.

    yea...same problem I had about 3 months ago. It cost me 70-90 bucks..dont remember exactly..and it was fairly easy to replace/install. Got the motor from GM.

    It can be the motor or the gear, if its the gear get the metal one dont replace with gms plastic gear it will just break again

    Personally I don't open/close my headlights while moving.

    May be so, but 5 years and 75,000mi later no probs with the headlights.

    You can take the headlight lose and spin the gear around 180 degrees for a quick fix,then you need to order the metal gear with the brace.
