I have factory crystal lights in my 02 Trailblazer forget these people and their projector rants, just remember to reaim since the light beam will be raised.

On that not as apparently most have forgotten since hid kits are everywhere for $50 now a days is that the 1st cars with them didn't have projectors( Older mercedes and for American their was the Lincoln Mark Cpe with purple HID's and also the old body style S10 Envoy could be ordered with HID's and none of those had projectors. Not to say projectors are bad they work good and have a nice cut off but no need to go waste money if you have good lights already. As far as a Camaro I would use HID's but never install those projectors they aren't as good as the OEM as far as fit, quality and finish. Not different than the kits they make for most cars, trucks and SUV's. If those kits were worth it I would have got them for my Trailblazer in a minute.

yeah i agree, projectors can be a bit over the top. I am a person where i dont like to changed to much of a vehicle because it looks like you're trying to hard. oh well, im going to buy ddm 35w bixenion for her car. she'll like it. I would like to go with the 55 watts but i think that is getting a little to greedy

6k in a 35 gives you a nice white color and is more than bright enough I'm not even sure why they make a 55w you lose color and 35 is plenty bright and needs less power and doesn't run as hot.

6000K from DDM in a 35W is a bit too blue for my taste. 5000K in a 55W is perfect IMO. I have this in my bird and G8 and its a very clean white with a hint of blue at the cutoff. Stock headlights are typically 55W/60W and the HIDs don't run any hotter than a halogen.

I guess for an extra 10 bucks i can get the 55w. man those things are going to be bright! Yeah, i don't want blue at all. Just the tint of it is all i'm aiming for. I'm just waiting to order because a friend wants a set also and i could save on shipping. I will post pics up here when i get them in if you guys dont tell me to because it is an eclipse!

opps never mind, the links on this post must have changed, they were coming up as the 90-98 trucks. the link for the 88-89 is http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=63... will they use the 9006 low beam and 9005 high beam bulbs? from what sylvania is saying..that is what the truck used. Just verifying. Gonna be investing in these here shortly.

    just fyi
    friend of mine got 8K 55W for lows/fogs and 10K 35W for Hi's
they dont look blue but the road looks blue for lows and almost green with his highs...
we can tell the different. they are white and dayum are they bright. his lows are annoying behind me and he doesnt even have them pointed that high...
    DDM tuning FTW!

just FYI if you use the housings from LMC do not use HID's; reasons
1: its illegal to modify DOT equipment; federal offense
2: its dangerous, the amount of glare you get from an HID in a halogen reflector creates a massive glare due to an improper alignment, most people that do this say "just aim the housing down" but the amount you have to do this to eliminate the glare renders it less effective than stock.
