Headers/y-pipe
Hey all,
99 Trans Am 6spd , not WS6
I just finished my SLP Flowpac install with a magnaflow catback exhaust (sounds niiiicee)..Next im lookin to change headers and y-pipe. I'm far from an expert on these cars so i'll just say that up front....I noticed there's tons of room on the driverside engine bay for losening bolts for header work, however the passenger side u could barely even get ur hand back there .....
1) whats a good header/y pipe setup (w/cats)
2) is installation tough?
3) What seems to be the general consensus for a daily driver car application..?
THANKS!!

If your a little tight on cash go with Pacesetter's. From what i hear there the best bang for the buck. If you have a little extra cash, then go with hooker or jet hots. If price isnt an issue go for KOOKS or QTP, there the best and most expensive for the F-body. It all depends on how much your willing to shell out. This is when "you get what you payed for" rings a tune. I know plenty of guys with KOOKS and QTP headers and Y-pipe as there daily drivers. Just make sure youy get them ceramic coated if you live in an area with lots of snow and salt so they dont rust quickley.
