    Headers/ Gas Mileage

    Hey all,

First off its no news that we get poor gas mileage, i'm getting now on average 18-20 mpg (not terrible, my old 'stang was gettin 16). I'm gonna be puttin on some LT's in a few weeks, i've heard mixed feeback as far as gas mileage. Some say If i drive the car normally I could gain a mile or so per gallon, others say I'll be putting gas in every two days....

    What does everyone think?

I agree driving style makes or breaks gas mileage. With all my mods and 4.10's my mileage only went down a little more in the city but highway mileage wasn't really affected that much.

    My life is a

are we talking on an LS1? stick or auto....b/c 18-20 on an ls1 sounds like it's tune-up time after the header install

30,000 miles without headers averaged 21.5mpg. 7,100 with headers averaged 21.6. No difference really.
