Head Unit Replacement Tutorial?

I've searched around, but haven't had any luck finding a writeup on swapping out the headunit on a 4th gen. Is there one somewhere? I don't want to tear up my dash trying to pull it off.

It's easy. All you have to do is use a flathead and gently pry off the trim ring. The ring is held in by 4 tapered plastic dowels molded into the trim ring and a couple of alignment dowels. All plastic and it pops right off, just bust each corner loose gently and pull off the entire ring. There should be a couple of 7mm bolts holding in the stock unit. Just unbolt them and pull the deck out. Unclip the antenna and 2 head unit connectors. Then install your new din unit and that's it. Do your install, piece of cake

Hadn't even thought of that. On my old 98 Grand Am you had to take out a few bolts and pull the whole dash trim panel off. And I was never able to clear the steering wheel, so I had to wedge the trim back to get the stereo out.
