    Head Light Motor Gear?

Hey guys what's up? Well I am having the stripped headlight motor gear problem that so many of you are familiar with. I have already 180 the gear, so it is stripped on both sides. My question is, I was just looking at rock auto trying to get a price for a new headlight motor (to see what they were going for in the aftermarket). They have plastic headlight motor gears. They are $11. Has anyone else seen or used these? I was thinking of buying a couple for $11 each. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has any info on them.

    Thanks,
    Garrity

i used the brass gears, and those stripped too, the problem was because the plastic gear housing came loose from the metal motor housing. So i recomend just buying them new, i found them on eBay for 198$ for both. One link is for passenger, and the other is for the driver side.

If you'll go to the webpage I linked you'll read that Rodney's kit includes a brace so if the glue does'nt hold it's still held in place with the brace.

I've had some people tell me that you could get away with just using the other side of the gear.

How hard is it to get off? I've got something funny going on with mine now.Yesturday, while driving it, the security light flashed, gauges flipped out, and i could hear the headlight gear grinding (mine only does this when it goes down),didn't see the headlites come up,does it have anything to do with the headlight motor?

Go to these websites, they explain everything about problems with the headlights and how to fix them.
