have a question about a security light

so after two years of not driving my TA because of a broken tranny, i finally got it fixed last week but now my security light has come on in my dash. it isn't blinking or anything, just a solid light. the car still starts up and goes but i am kinda afraid to drive it anywhere just in case it decides it doesn't want to start up. i know of a bypass for it but i dont know how to fix it or where to even start. any help would be appreciated! thanks

Its one of the stickies here. I can't search it right now, 'vats bypass' is what you need to search.

Yeah mines on too, I just dont care enough to fix it. Doesnt really affect anything. Came on after a bad storm.

i had a problem with my security light also...my car wouldnt start at first, turn the key and absolutely nothing, then it would start. i found out that my key had moisture on it and was dirty. i used my other set of keys and it started right up.

Yeah...my keys got wet one day in the rain, and I stuck it in the ignition without thinking. Security light came on and it's wouldn't start. Used my other key, and started just fine....security light went off. OP- it's got something to do with the VAT sys
