So, I start up my bright red '98 WS6 this evening. As I depart the base and give the accelerator a little love, I about freak when my dome light comes on for a split second then out again. So, all I can think about on my trip to the store is "WTF?". I grab a few items and as I am heading out the lot, the light blinks again. Then, it finally hits me- HEY, DUMBA$$! YER HATCH AINT SHUT. Yep, Ima dipsh*t.

However, one of my first thoughts (while I was having a baby) was to get on the ol' forum here to pose the question, but since I figured it out, I thought I would post my own burn instead. Hope you got a chuckle.

Oh, I do have an electrical issue with my right turn signal if anyone can provide any advise: the right turn signal will work 25% of the time. When malfunctioning, the indicator light on the dash will be a solid light (no blinking) and there is nothing outside to indicate any blink or signal (as if I were not even trying to signal). Any help????? I appreciate it.

have you check to see if the light itself is still good? it might be as easy as replacing the light.. mine did that after a deer ran into me on the way home from work.. however the deer demolished the turn signal... along with front bumper, qrt panel, door, headlight.. all that good stuff

Don't feel to bad I've done it also
Easy to notice the blinking dome lights at nite during the day is another problem.

My blinker did the same thing. Once I removed the plug and bulb it was full of corrosion and rust. Cleaned it out real good, use that bulb grease stuff and replaced with a new bulb and it's worked flawlessly since.
