Some women don't like the torque these things put out. My wife doesn't go with me in the Bird anymore. She is happy with the smooth power of our Honda Civic Si. Lol ... all 200HP of it. It handles really well though not as good as my Bird. Nice commute car.

Wife just gets sick in the Bird and we have to stop every 20-30 miles. Torque monster messes her up.

So, now that I know she won't go in the Bird again it's time for the Procharger Upgrade that I have been putting off for a number of years. She agrees to make it my project car now..... Woot !!!! Can hardly wait. 650HP RWHP is what we are shooting for. It's going to cost. However, I've been saving for years so it's there.

As my wife says ... The car is really designed for a man as MOST women would rather be driving a BMW or Mercedes etc... That's why BMW / Mercedes generally have hot chicks in them. ;-) Wife has informed me she gets to pick out the next car. With that above statement I'm afraid what the next car is going to cost me. Ouch !!!

You know, she's probably right. I think most women like guys who like fast cars but they really aren't to into them themselves.

Those of us who are, are a rare breed I'd say

Yup, rare breed for sure. Whoever your with is truely blessed. I'm just glad my wife lets me do my car thing whenever I need to do it.
However, I do still think about my x-girlfriend with the yellow firebird 400 every so often. Her thing was driving fast and riding horses.
I miss the horses and watching her ride more than anything.

Heh... as it turns out, My husbands not a car guy! But, he knows how I feel about my cars and goes with it. But, he gets a little miffed sometimes when I bring up something else I want to buy for my car that he thinks I don't need :shug:

So, yeah. Sometimes it's easy to think of past relationships where there was some common ground with a passion you have.

But, guess life is about compromise
