I dont know what they have in them but i ran one a couple of times (me stock) and they seem like the exact same car. Seemed like same power, gear ratio and tranny setup. But the fancy pinstriping didn't help him. I look waaay better. And get 27mpg at 87.

I raced one on the street and dick whipped him. Used the spray. The next light he got all defensive and was like my cars all stock. I said yeah, If you mean stock as in 4 camshafts, 32 valves and an intercooled supercharger, I know. Ges it's time for upgrades. Saw one at the track lastSunday runnig 8.15 @90 best run (street tires). Good match for me NA. My best on the engine is 8.03 @ 88.

    I dont think you raced a gt500 then, cause 500hp 3900lbs vs 350hp 3400lbs, the 500hp would win

It said GT500H ? I thought it was still a 500? but yeah, seemed like the same car we couldn't pull on each otherand stock i got 324 hp and 338ftlbs of torque @ the wheels. I just did the airbox cut out and got an exhaust coming. That should put me at 350 at the wheels, but then its not a stock race anymore.Should i make him sign a waiver that he wont cry next time i see him?

My stepdad has an Orange '07 GT500SS (Super Snake)
Before the conversion, he raced a STS Ls1. LT's and tune on 5psi

The Z had him by a few bus lengths from 40-140.... video is on streetfire somewhere, STS LS1 vs. GT500

Now the GT500SS is about 750rwhp on pump gas, and with a 2min. pulley change, and 110octane, it puts down 1000+rwhp.... and has an inspection sticker on it.

To say the least.... But never doubt for a second, that he isn't self made.

He is The operations VP for a powerline Const. company here in Texas.... Goes all over during storms... He is one of three crew foremans that can run/restring a powerline while it's still hot.
