Is this a good deal?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=51
I went and drove the car about 2 weeks ago. It has a few small scratches but looks pretty good overall. Trans felt good when I shifted and she seemed to run pretty well. The car wasn't detailed, it was actually pretty dirty inside and out.
I know its been on the lot for a few weeks and the carfax checks out ok. The first 26000 miles the owner took it to the dealer for everything, from 26000 to 49000 its a ghost. I guess that owner went to a private garage.
The only thing that turned me off was some rust I noticed on the hood latch and bolts for the airbox. Does that look normal?
Any input is appreciated, I plan on taking a ride up on saturday and maybe buying the car.

Well i bought my 2002 WS6 exactly one year and three days ago and payed 18k for it with 44k miles on it, all stock. I was told i over payed for it by a few people on here even though blue book said private party value was 18.5k at the time and i payed less than that from a dealer, go figure???

The price seems a little high compared to what you could get alot of cars from the forsale section on here and tech.
It is not a bad deal especially if they are throwing in any kind of warranty.
The rust could mean the previous owner like to wash under there and wanter sat and rusted alot or it came from a part of the country that has issues like that.

just because you are selling your hawk under nada does not mean somebody else is asking too much.. i think you are asking too little.. i'm selling my 02 WS6 for $17,500. it has generated a LOT of interest and it has only been for sale for 4 days (and it is not even spring yet here)
i'm not quite sure why somebody would want to sell cheaper than book unless they have a big need to sell the car quickly..... you will get more than $18k for your hawk for sure.. at least where i live anyway.

black- 2002 firehawk 94 Z28
well i bought it in july of last year in perfect working order but its not a 1le car it has the torsen rear end and not the auburn it has the firehawk floor mats but not the rear deck mat or the optional car cover and nothing other than the title as far as paper work goes and most firehawk buyers want all of that included in the $20 plus sale. i bought it from a dealer and they could not make contact with the org owner to ask them exactly what they optioned. i only want the payoff which is $18k im not hurting to sell the car it has always been one of my dream cars but my wife has never had a manual trans and she wants a vette. i no where there is a 99 vette with 80kmi and he wants 14k for it so i still say there asking to much...

You could still get 20 for it out here, shit you could get 18 if was only a ws6 with that mileage. Prices are high on the west coast for the most part.
