My V6 was running with older Mustang GT's. What was really great was when they would get next to me afterwards and ask what I had under the hood.

do the older GT's have like 190 horsepower? anyway, it looks like everyone is going for the V6 at this time lol. Their probally right, you can drive the V6 right now so you can get use to a RWD, i know i get a little heavy footed sometimes lol. But in any choice you choose PATIENCE is the key, and remember your not invincible. No one is.

You'd be amazed at how little mods you can do to keep up with stock 4.6L Gt's. Its funny as hell actually.

It really isn't going to make much of a difference. The only advantage I can see in a manual is being able to downshift on a hill to help you stop without sliding too bad.

Plus it's easier to rock it in a manual, and you can start out in 2nd gear to prevent wheelspin.

RWD isn't too bad in the snow. You just need to drive slowly and use your head! No sudden acceleration, that'll just get you sideways. Although it can be incredibly fun under the right circumstances.

A good snow tire on a narrower wheel will help, and maybe even throw a few bags of sand or rock salt in the hatch for weight and traction if you should get stuck.

Just realized a great thing about the V6 this morning - Cheaper insurance!

After all the searching for a nice V8, I just realized I might not be able to afford the insurance on the damn thing! The insurance is almost as much as the payment!
