a Girl Car?

I am a recruiter in the USAF so I have to deal with young "Know it All's" quite frequently. One of the people in my Delayed Entry program. He is 18 yrs old and graduates next year (June 2008)-- He is constantly giving me crap saying the TransAm is a Girls Car.

Normally I wouldn't care. but He drives a Camaro (built 83 model).

I told him I honestly see more Chicks driving Camaros than I do Trans Ams.

It doesnt really matter. But I consider Miatas, Minivans, Del Sols, Cobalts, those are "Chick Cars" Not Fbodies, especially a 2002 WS6 TA.

He has to just be messing with you because a WS6 is a very aggressive looking car. Chics don't drive aggressive cars...most anyway.

This kid wasn't even around when the Trans Am was the macho man type car with it's 4 spd and 6.6 litre motor. Back then the Camaro Z28 was considered the Girls Car. For 2 years [`75 -76] the camaro Z28 wasn't available and at the same time the Trans Am was still available with 455 and a 4spd, so tell me which car has a stronger performance legacy. And your right there are always more girls driving Camaro's then T/A's.

I've only ever seen women in V6 maros... and Firebirds... a couple in normal Trans ams... but... THAT doesn't NOT make them chick cars... that's Idiotic... just cause his car looks like shit comprared to your WS6 he's jealous so he has to give you crap about it

half the time i see a v6 camaro is a chick driving, v6 firebirds are mainly guys driving.. and ive seen like 2 chicks driving a z28 and trans am.. but none an SS

here's the ultimate question...did he buy the car or did daddy? if his parents bought it, he's driving a girl's car. besides that, he's a kid, he doesn't understand 'legacy' yet...and yeah, I've never seen a girl in person driving a T/A, only Stangs and Maros.

There's one chick in my town that drives a TA.. but.. most drive v6 firebirds. They tend to like the way those look better than camaros or something. I actually had someone tell me I should drive a firebird instead of my Z cause I'm female. Honestly I don't think either could be titled "Girls cars." Those are.. hell.. sunfires? Stuff like that.

[/I]Actually you are wrong. I have enlisted approx 30 people thus far, and only 3 girls were girls. I'm no mathematician, but that is only 10% Female. 90% male. (disclaimer--these are numbers for my area, not the entire AF)

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I know that more guys than girls join the AF, as well as every other branch.

To be honest more girls join the Army than the AF, at least in the town I recruit in.

But I don't want to think about work till tomorrow -- But yes. I do honestly think more females drive Camaros compared to TAs.

My ex-wife had a Z28, My best friends sister had a 91 RS Camaro 305, My ex wifes friend had a 97 SS. Today I saw two Camaros, both driven by Chicks,

So in my experience I see wayyyy more chicks drive Camaros than TAs. I rarely see ladies drive WS6s.
