Don't test your reaction time at every red light. I got better gas mileage after I installed my headers

x2 on the headers with tune. Make sure your engine is properly running (air filter, plugs, wires, etc...) And keep a light foot when driving. our cars are great on gas for the power they make, but most of us know fully well they arent a jetta when it comes to mpg. I really didnt buy an ls1 for its fuel milage, altho 35mpg is nothing to complain about for me! Whats your mpg anyway?

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
get another car....that is the best gas saving mod...if you baby dick the throttle on a ls1 in a musclecar/sports car to save money...not only are you in the wrong car..but you are in for a world of hurt...drive the piss out of the car...gun it at every light...fight every fight with her..and enjoy low teen mileage

Not with an LS1 car you didn't.
Higher altitudes can help, but not that much. Best I got was 31MPG with my M6 and that was running from Denver to Grand Junction. Lots of time spent over 8K feet.
The one thing I do NOT worry about with my car is gas mileage. If I cared...I bought the wrong car.

Yeah well yall suck!jk I get 300ish out of a tank with the 3800.. Rule o'thumb... Never buy a car such as ours and then look for gas mileage.. I assume you're prollly running 87 octain as well? Wrong car my friend.. Time for a beater bro..
