GAS Mileage, whats it like?
SO I'm looking at a 02 ws-6, and was wondering how much gas these suckers guzzle.
1. How big is the tank?
2. How many miles per gallon?

16 gallons.
Depends on manual or automatic.
My M6 got 24/31 when it was mostly stock.

With the gas prices lately my neighbor said he was glad that he didn't have to pay for my gas - was surprised when I told him I still get 22 on the highway, even with my mods.

I made 531 at the wheels.
If I shift at 2,000 each gear and lug it around town...it will get 16-17MPG.

It gets about the same on the highway....around 19MPG.
The 4.11's keep it from getting 22-23.

Yeah. That 6th gear is nice for mileage for sure. But with the 4.11's I am trucking along at 75MPH and the motor is spinning 2,000RPM's.
If it was down around 1600 it would be much better.
Hell...the car lugs itself along just fine at 1200 RPM's in 6th gear...about 45MPH.

drove 300 miles on a full tank today.
I've done so much,
with so little,
for so long,
I can almost do anything, with nothing.

Iv'e only gone through one tank with mine, but I only got about 18.5mpg. And my car is completely stock. I wasn't even driving crazy or anything. Although I never touched a freeway. Does that sound right?
How much would my gas mileage go down if I added a catback, hedders, ls6 intake, and a lid?

Navy Blue Metallic- '02 Trans Am WS6
I get about 16-17mpg, But I have a heavy right foot. I shift about 2800rpms through town and at like 3800-4000 up the interstate on ramp. Car has a lid, K&N, cat-back, Descreened MAF Sensor, and about 98,000 miles lol. I'm hoping with a tune-up (o2's, plugs, and wires) I can get a few more. Looks like i'm on the bottom side of the gas milage world.
