My 98 T/A, with A4. Would get 16-17 City. About 24-25 at highway speeds. But this is driving like a "normal" person... My Corvette 15-16 around town. But I seem to average 27-30 on the highway.

So I found out one of the reasons for the decrease in gas mileage. Turns out, right about the time I changed the tires/wheels, the PCV tube developed a slight crack in it. I hadn't noticed it at first, but with the hood up, you could hear the air escaping. This along with an incorrect odometer read and lack of tune really made the gas mileage suffer. I replaced the PCV to find multiple cracks along the line, guess it was just its time to go. Gas mileage improved, but I just sent the PCM to get the 'frost tune' so when I get it back I'll be able to see what my new efficiency is with a good tune and the correct speedo/odometer read outs.

The 81 as low as 3 to 4 miles per gallon.

The 02 which i think is stock, i am the 2nd owner, got 26 mpg hwy new hampshire to cleveland.

have to laugh though, my dads honda accord only gets 25 mpg at best, and usually 23 on long trips, he's PO and says he's going back to GM cars, he hates the honda and the dealer sticking it to him every time he goes in for service.

my '99 got around 29mpg hwy, kinda hard for me to measure city since i live in the country. it was pretty much stock, only had an SLP cold air inducton kit, K&N air filter, and Flowmaster exhaust kit. i'm not sure what my '01 gets, haven't had the opportunity to find out.

Unless you have steep gears and/major mods you should be getting around 19 city and 28 highway while being very conservative.
