i get on mine a few times per tank but still was able to get 300 miles. not really sure why. i change my spark plugs and wires when they are due. keep my air filter clean and recharge when needed. it might of had a good tune before i got it i don't know. i never had mine dyno but it feels extremely strong for just the amount of HP i've heard they are supposed to have.

yeah because i only get about 200 miles out of my tank or so when it is at like a 1/4 left. so what would be considered low gas like under 3 gallons or what?

I recommend filling up at a 1/4 of a tank left. Sometimes I go a little below that but its because I am heading to a cheaper priced gas station.

I have a T56 equipped BONE STOCK 01 WS6 and get 26.5-27.5 OBSERVED on the highway without using cruise and sometimes hitting 80-85 and sometimes 65, just varies but driving decently gentle I avg. around there.

That was with a new filter in the snout and the fuel line and M1 5-30 oil EP...never use that crap again, 0-30 GC in it now. (my 26.5-27.5 mpg) WIX filter, stock size, 6qts oil. Stock diff and tranny fluid, now running valvoline Dexron III in the tranny and Royal Purple 85-140 in the rear.

Yes...please tell me how this is. I know 4 different people in my area that have TA's and we all concur that we get between 190 to 210 per tank. We have 2 1999 and 2 2000 M6 TA's with 15 gallon tanks. I drive 18 miles a day half on the highway.

I have a 2000 T/A m6 16.8 gallon tank i just tested this filled up until gas sprayed onto my leg cause the gas station attendant forgot to tell that the pump i was using didnt turn off automatically then he offered me a car wash but im a lowered T/A no auto wash for me. I went until my car ran outta gas me and my girlfriend drove around with a 2 gallon gas can in my trunk until i ran dry i got 343 miles on 1 tank i also have headers and cat back exhaust and whisper lid. Most highway and country driving about 90 miles city.

BTW i had a 96 T/A before i got it with 42k and i sold it with 127k and i let it go to E every week the original fuel pump still pumping strong i do refill my 2000 at 1/4 cause im trying to be good to it lol. This time being the exception of course hah.

thats a bad idea running your t/a that low on fuel..you'll burn out your fuel pump..you've probably already hurt it quite a bit.

i've played Russian roulette and havent shot myself in the head yet.....so do you think playing it the third time somehow makes it less stupid since i've done it twice before..the fuel pump is gasoline cooled buddy..so its quite simple to assume running the pump close to dry leads to over heating and extra heat fatigue on the parts..but w/e

but hey w/e your damn right you'll be a dumb ass when your fuel pump gets burnt out..and you'll be thinking to yourself "well my 96 didn't.." when you get the bill..not to mention the engine damage you can do running low to empty.
