    Well, here in Indiana it's very common to use a shotgun with slugs.

    You can also use black powder, bow and arrow, rifles chambered in a pistol caliber (357 mag minimum I think), pistol (357 minimum). There might be a few other regulations I'm not aware of.

    But.......Ye Olde High Power Rifles are verboten to use to take deer.


    This area is too densely populated with people. Speedy bullets can go a long way if target is missed.

    Actually the deer doesn't stand a chance against an experienced hunter with a shotgun.

    I know that, its just around here not many do... I have been hunting since i was 6, i know whats up...the only thing i havent taken a deer with is black powder, I enjoy archery hunting the most.

    Minnesota you have to use slugs and a 12 gauge I use a AR15
