Notice any difference? In sound or horsepower? And do you already have a ws6?

No sound difference. Couldn't tell any performance differance but this was like 5 years ago when my car was mostly stock. Prolly would make more differance on modded cars.

It does make a little difference, and its for all ls1s not just non ws-6 whoever told you it cancels out is just making it up since the ws-6 isnt true ram air anyway. Because its not a complete seal.

you have a point there.. and im glad you mentioned that cuz it reminded me of something... a while back i found a intake kit for ws6's that seals the box with the hood and makes it a true ram air... what im getting at is does any one know how to get one cuz they stopped making them and i cant find them anyyyyyywhere

Not recommended for cold winter climates

And as far as the FRA goes, I have a debaffled R/A Hood and I noticed a better gain with the FRA over the hood. Now I have both and haven't had any Problems. People will tell you it draws in warm air from the radiator and will hurt performance. Well the Answer is Yes and No. Stopped at Idle it draws in warm air but while moving it draws cool air.

You got the throttle body bypass done also? that also helps with warm air. So do you think the mod is worth it then? And what does cold winter climates have to do with it if you don't mind me askin.

Coolant runs thru the throttle body to theoretically keep it from freezing shut in cold weather.

Sealing the ram air would be easy to do with some house molding of the right sizes. Wouldn't that risk water getting in the intake though on rainy days and potentially hydro-locking the engine? You'd have to make it an open system for the water to drop out any time it rains.

I have heard that you can open the intake and chop off that thing obstructing the air flow? Anyone hear of this and think it's worth it?

Rain won't penantrate the filter, I have all my baffles removed and have never had a problem with rain or a car wash for that matter. Unless you like driving through 2 foot deep puddles you won't hydrolock the engine.

And clg82 I said the TB bypass is NOT recommended for cold climates.
    The FRA is OK anywhere.
