Spiral Gray- 2004 Auto Corvette
Free Mod
Hello fellow Ls1 owners. I have had my 6 speed for 3 days, I cant believe the power. I did the free ram air mod. At first the car felt the same and would ping a little over 5,000 rpm. Now the pinging has stopped ( same fuel) and the car seems more responsive. Is it my imagination or does it take the computer a few miles to readjust to the increased airflow??

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
Welcome to the wonderfull world of the LS1
After most mods are performed it does take the ECM some miles to relearn/adjust to the new parameters.
I remember when I first installed a Lid and I noticed very little difference at first. The very same night I rolled out the clutch from a stop in 1st gear then mash the throttle. The car accelerated and then started fighting for traction as it past 3000 rpm, It had never done that before.Craig
