Off hand I'd say T/A, because of the 6spd and WS6 package, but does the Formula have the 155 speedo? How about T-tops? Give a little more info if you can.

Yeah im going to drive it, i dont think i will take it to the track that often. It will just be something fun to drive. If i had the money i would buy both and not even have to choose. Or should i save up for a while and get a really nice car? Would that be better?

You should try to find an LS1. I got my '98 with 82,000 miles, and was able to talk the dealer down to just under $7,000.

Wow, really? You got a really nice deal. The same dealership had a Black 98 Trans Am for $8,000 but it was not in very good condition and sells man told me it had an LT1 engine in it, then another guy corrected him. It sounded kinda fishy to me so i didnt go for it. It was sold the next day. So you would choose LS1 over LT1 any day? There arent many Trans am's for sale around here, but the Best one ive seen is a White Trans am with 40,000 miles for 15,000 that is a bit out of my price range, and now i think that one is sold to.

An LS1 is basically the "new and improved" LT1. I went for an LS1 because it put out a claimed 300 hp stock, unlike the LT1. Plus the looks of the 98+ birds beats the 93-97's any day. Better front bumper, better tail lights, in my humble opinion.

Yeah, i really like the newer ones but thought they would be out of my price range.

The Ls1 is a completely different engine. The Lt1 and Ls1 are both pushrod 5.7liter engines and thats about it.

damn just under 7K?? holly shit i kinda feel like i got ripped off now.. but i do
agree with looking for an ls1. mine had 83k on it and my brother talked him down to very low 8k, it was the warranty/tax/title/tags that brought me up to financing around 10.
