i was this close [ ] to trading my beloved baby. with one child and one on the way i thought i would do my family a favor and get a 4 door car..and well i cant get just ANY 4 door...so i looked at an 05 wrx STI ..i am ashamed too say other than the exhaust it was a BLAST too drive only turn offs were exhaust and the fact it had a built motor (head work cammed forged internal) ready for bigger turbo. did not like those qualities, but none the less! it was the most fun i have had driving a car on the street lol. but thanks too my wife...i have been set straight.

I traded in my T/A for a subaru. Then I bought a cbr to make up for my lack of sports car. Now im looking to sell my bike and get back into another f-body and hopefully keep the subie for a DD.

There is no shame in having an STI or WRX. Those cars are bad AZZ. Technology is the only substitue for cubic inches. I wish I had one of those too. I love the Jap. cars. I also love the American muscle cars too. If it makes you happy, then do it. My Supra can hold it's wieght agaist most ZO6s and ZR1s, and still get 23 to 27 mpg. If a car is fast, it doesn't matter what kind it is.

That's ok, it's understandible you want something that will be easier to get the kids in and out of, but I don't think you'll have a problem with that task in the T/A, but if that's the only vehicle between you and your wife, it might be a good idea to get a 2nd vehicle. But since your wife was the one who talked you out of trading the T/A for another vehicle, if you get a 2nd one I think she might claim the T/A, LOL

only problem with the TA as a DD is...well its not so much a DD it has slicks front runners 3" duals bullet mufflers loud as crap. it would take more money too make it street friendly. wife hated the STI anyway

i thought it was a blast never had so much fun...but all my friends and family said they could never see me drive a ricer.
and i would LOVE a G8 but there too expensive for me, my range wit my car trade in is 18,000 or under. dads selling his GTO i got rid of that 94 TA already....wonder if this is the end of my pontiac family

I have been looking for a STI or EVO after driving with my friend in his Forged and boosted EVO and worked on a Supra single turbo that had over 600rwhp. Still wanna keep my TA but ever since I sold my Talon I miss a little turbo 4 banger. Fast, handles well, and great mpg. Plan on dumping my Trailblazer and 5.0 vert to get a nice fast DD that gets good MPG while keeping the TA for weekend cruises and meets. Not into GTO's since it's a 2 dr but a G8 or older CTSV for a good deal would be awesome.

damn shame gm doesn't have the sense to take the g8 gt and g8 gxp and give it to the chevrolet division as a limited edition (10,000 a year) model called "chevelle" and "chevelle ss"

save you cash and get a truck with a x-cab or bigger like i did. that way when you want to put the kids in it no big deal and you have some thing to tow the t/a when you go to the track. just dont be like me and think of selling the ta to make the truck faster.

i have an '06 crew cab LTZ but its to high of a payment so i am getting rid of that too lol. and i really wish a G8 GT was in my price range. if so i woud be all over one of those..but there way too expensive for me.
and the only hondas i will own are bikes. no worries there!

+1 for G8 GT's too come down on price or the extremely rare (around here) GXP

they are. but the name plate is the "caprice" should be out for 2011
and the buick regal is back! wonder what awesome thing they will do with it:/
