ford shelby gt500
funny thing happened to me yesterday, on my way back from purchasing a 2000 trans am convertible from delaware.I was driving with my wife with the top up ac on and i see this older man driving a very nice mustang . At first i really didnt pay any attention to it because usally i dont pay mind to gt mustangs. They are always looking to run and for the most part end up looking at my tail lights.Well did the old man surprise me . We ended at the light and he was looking to run so ofcourse i took off and had a good three cars on him until my wife gave me the wife lecture i let off and the old man left me in the dust. Now i dont what would happened if my wife were not there but i was surprised how fast that mustang was until i read on the side mustang gt500 and shelby in the back. So my question is how fast are those cars and would our cars give it a run.The car was a 2009 ford mustang gt500 shelby my car has air lid slp exhaust and ram air.

12.5ish cars...but that means nothing if the driver misses a shift or cant drive...you won if he was racing..fair and square

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
how do you know it was a 2009? and not an '08/'07/ etc...
with your mods up against a stock one ('06 to present; the years the GT500 has been availiable), you dont have much of a chance

Exactly. Regardless of the year. No matter, you got the point it wasn't a 2010/11, from 06-09 they're basically the same so you can kinda tell what style he's referring to, but your definitely right. They'd own our LS1. I gotta admit though, i'm loving the 2011 GT500. They're dead sexy

There are a couple guys with the GT 500's that go on cruises with us and u have all full bolt ons and 3.73's and my car and A4 tuned and it's still not up to par with a GT 500. One guy has a modded GT 500 and he takes out Calmed Z06's and can run even with the one gut who has a new ZR1. So they are a fast car but they come with a nice blower setup so it's expected.

Ignition Orange/Black- 2008 G8 GT, 98 Z28 383
The stock GT500s have serious traction issues. If they have DR's or good sticky tires and the driver has practice with the car say bye bye if you are stock. The newest one lost a lot of weight (200lbs) due to the aluminum block that ford just put in there. Muscle mustangs went 11.5 @119 or 120 something with just Drag Radials on a 2011 GT500. They are no joke, the thing is half the owners are older guys who have no idea how to drive them. Kinda like ford's version of the Corvette...
