    You are a stock T/A like me. Formulas are very different then T/As. Formulas are T/A's trapped in a Firebird's body, kinda like a sleeper car. Ppl look at them and think "oh it's another V6" then after they get raped they find out it has the LS1.

    You just happen to have a Ram Air hood. Some would call you a WS7. This is a very common, you should be fine as long as you don't proclaim to be a factory WS6. think of it this way the previous owner helped you on your first mod and matched the paint. nice ride

    EDIT - Check your RPO codes on your Drivers door - If you have a Y82 = Formula, Y83 = Trans Am

    Sounds good to me. I like the ring of WS7. My car doesn't have tags...no WS6, no WS7, no nothing. Any recommendations for something to slap on her butt?

    Thanks

    You can look at Afterthoughts (Sponsor) for some badging. They have plenty of stuff and ideas. If you want something very original and wicked cool, pm Third Shift Studios (Member/Sponsor). He has some awesome skills and has done some very excellent pieces. If you've seen the 2010 Camaro that was converted into the Kevin Morgan Trans Am. He did some of the badging for it.

    Only thing I've done to mine was use Chrome lettering to fill in one the back was the Pontiac, the Trans Am and Bird between the lights, Trans Am on the doors, and Pontiac on the drivers headlight and the bird on the front too. i have NBM and very few colors go well with it. Chrome is one I also put a bird on the pillar between the side windows and hatch. I feel it belongs there. I'm waiting on getting a new hood before I put a bird on it.

    This is the tag we are talking about. It is or should be on your drivers door. If you had a complete paint job you might not have this and would need to check your vin at the dealer.

    It says Y82. But "Trans Am" is in between the rear lights?

    You got one a T/A. I had to re-read some some more info on the RPO code. That second link I post had all of the GM RPO codes and it is confusing to read sometimes. The first one states Y82 = T/A and that is correct. I also have a 98.

    I'm a fake!

    Thanks for the compliments though
    A Ram Air box? Are you talking about the upper radiator support/lower airbox? You can tell really easily if you check this: is it about 1 inch or about 2 inches for the actual air inlet below the filter, in the front. You want the ~2'', raised airbox. This is a discontinued GM piece, so be happy if you have it on a non WS6 car.

    W66 = Formula

    It took a minute or two to actually read the rpo codes and decipher them.
