    This was an idea that they worked a lot on, but it was not used in the end in 1998 as it did not meet DOT standards. The issue was something about the headlights being behind a secondary lens...similar to the GTS headlight covers not meeting DOT standards.

    I didn't like the look of them either. It just didn't suit the Firebirds.

    This is also the reason there was No Firehawk production for 1998

    Interesting. It's kind of odd that they would get rid of one of the things that kinda defined the firebird.

    The headlight thing was my first reaction too..... But it was in 1998, so I was assuming this was something they did in 1998 and didn't continue. But as far as performance and suspension upgrades, I think that was pretty much the difference for Trans Ams and Firhawks. Unless someone could find more info on it for the later years.....
