Firebird Watch worth?
I have a men's watch sitting here in front of me and I'm wondering about it's history and value.
It has a black background and a gold "FIREBIRD" above the hands and a gold bird below the hands. Red pontiac logo at 12. Has day of week window in it, too.
On the back it has engraved pontiac and the arrow logo. Along with TM GM. It sure looks like a promo item from GM or an officially licensed product.
Has black leather band.
ANyone ever seen one of these? I did a google image search and ebay and nothing even comes close to resembling this.
Any opinions on worth? Please don't make offers - this ain't an auction. If I decide to sell it it will go to ebay.
Thanks
Dan

It sounds like some Classic Industries and maybe even gm parts used to sell. They had a few different styles with black and white backgrounds. I think they retailed for between 50-100 dollars depending on bands or something.

I feel certain that that's the one I mentioned in my above post. I'd pull out my old classic industries catalog and tell you for sure but it's packed up in storage right now. The catalog is at least 5 years old now so the watch is not too old.
Edit: I just went online and was able to find one version on classic industries web page. It is a ladies watch with the metal band and is a clearance item selling now for about 25-29 bucks.

No matter the value, it's still a pretty neat item.Last edited by mrpontiac80; 05-14-2011 at 09:18 PM.

Wow. Good sleuth skills! I'm sure that's where it came from.
Thanks for helping out!
It is a nice watch. I've never worn a watch as I just use my cell phone for time. I'll hang onto it though.
