    Firebird Formula/Trans Am?

Whats the difference in these? My friend is saying a Firebird formula has like 365 hp in 01... and the WS6 only has areound 310(which is true)... Is there a difference in a firebird and trans am or a WS6?? Aren't they all the same car? Thanks guys

all V8 firebirds start off as formulas then get upgraded to whatever model.
the horsepower between all the cars is the same more or less give or take 10 rear wheel horsepower.

So the basic model V8 LS1 is a Firebird Formula

And they can be upgraded to either a Trans Am, Or WS6? Or is it a Tran Am WS6?

like nhra said there is no difference always the same amount of power.

    Listed GM #s

    '98-00 formula ----- 305hp
    '98-00 formula WS6 --320hp
    '98-00 T/A -------- 305hp
    '98-00 T/A WS6 ---- 320hp

    '01-02 formula - -----310hp
    no '01-'02 formula WS6
    '01-02 T/A - ---------310hp
    '01-02 T/A WS6 ------325hp

Yeah I wish my formy was a WS.6. Personally I like the Formula front facia better than the TA. The spoiler I could go either way on. Depends on the mood I'm in.
