    Angry It finnaly happened

My first post and my first ticket in the bird. No, it was not for speeding just for an (unsafe start). The worst part is that it was a county cop and I have no connections. The cop was a complete d*ck, stoped me and said in a smart ass tone: wow i'm impressed, give me you license. He looked at it and said oh! CDL that's stupid and asked for my friends license and said two of you. Like it matters what kind of license he has. I am "thinking" get off your fu*kn power trip a hole. I called a couple lawyers and they say no problem we will get it dismissed for $450 so I might just pay him. I dont know how much it will cost to just pay it, also I dont know how many points I will get on my cdl. I would appreciate any info on the price or points matter, if some one has any thanks in advance.

listen dude their are lots of attorneys that can get the ticket dropped to a non-moving violation which want effect any of your points. I too have a job were I cant afford to have points off. so i paid a lawyer i think it was about 300 bucks to get the non moving violation with no points loss. when I was first looking at least 4point and money.

It was one of those days where I havent drove the car in almost a month so I was having some fun with it after work. The funny part was that a guy I work with was behind me doing a brake torque in his f350 dually so I had to show him up and I got the bad deal.

I got a ticket for the same thing years ago, it was a town ordinance. So no points, just a fine. Dunno about your area tho. Some town/ states are rough on that crap. If it's any points. I would pay the laywer, better a shyster getting your cash than that cop and the state. Let alone the upped insurance rates.

you could try these guys. Some people swear by em.

That would more than likely be a careless driving ticket here in MN, and that's not good on the insurance : (. I would think paying the $450 or whatever to get it dropped is worth the money you'll save over the 5 years on your record, but make sure it get's dropped completely and not just lowered to a lesser offense, because it will still hurt in the long run.

But that's here and we don't have point system.

Go to court and ask the judge to withhold points. I am a Deputy Sheriff in florida and most cases I have seen the judge will withhold points as long as your driving record is not horrible. You can save money on a lawyer that way. If you did do something wrong though own up to it in court. The judges usually don't like excuses. You did get your car sideways... The cop did not have to belittle you though. I treat everyone with respect no matter what.

Yep we have that here I think it's called wreckless driveing only I did just leave from a stop. The only good thing is it will only stay on your record for two years rather than five. I have a cdl license and they are really tough on us commercial drivers so I dont want to chance it.

They will do that up here on occasion, but not very likely though. I have been in court a few times before and I am always as honest as I can be but I could get in trouble at work if it does not come off my record. I do have a clean record but I think I want an attorney with me this time. That is good to hear you give everyone the respect they deserve, I respect the officer as much as I can I will always turn my car off, put my windows down, and put both hands on the wheel. I think doing theese things shows a great deal of respect. I believe this helps avoid a ticket because the last three or four time I have been stopped all I've gotten is a verbal warning. Sorry to go on and on I appreciate the advise but I have the extra cash so I believe I will pay thanks.
