finally got a bird and got some ?s
the motor is already more than heathly so I want to put some wheels and a hood on it, The question I have is what back space do I need to have to run a 15x10 on the rear and 15x3.5 on the ft. and what is the biggest tire can I run. And on the hood does anybody run the vfn extended hood

Are the 15's for slicks?
Stock size is 16" and WS6 was 17's, I've heard of ppl putting 18's with low profile tires on, and also use a couple of hits with a BFH to push back the rear wheel wells for room. I believe 17's are the biggest you can get up front.
As for the hood I believe that is mostly for track cars. haven't seen it on any street cars

Bat mobile black- 2000 Trans am WS6 M6
i have staggered c6 wheels 19 in the rear 18 up front with 275s in the rear and they barely fit after beating the living shit out of the wheel well and a 5/16ths spacer. They still rub if youre turning hard and you hit a bump. Id stick to 18s as being the biggest rim size. For the hood i think raptor hoods are pretty damn cool.

Hoods, wheels, etc, like many things on here you will find the purest crowd that think any changes to the car besides a WS6 hood are evil and look like crap to the what-ever crowd.
It only matters with what you like.
This is the one I want:

its gonna be a track car for the most part so I want to stick with 15's just for the slicks and as far as what every one else would think

Are you going to go full out track meaning weight reduction, interior reduction, etc....
I ask because depending on how much of a track car you want = the possiblities

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
you can run 20s up front with no problems...the problems are the rears where space becomes a issue.
to the op..if you plan on running slicks..i hope you have at least 3-5k saved for that new rear end you will need after about 2 passes

Also check the tech sections/search for things like this
most likely it has been gone over before
You need a spacer up front and have to rind down your calipers out back also just so you know

By big do you mean wide or tall? Taller would affect your gear ratio, speedo/odo, wider you might have to hammer your wheel wells depending on the width, even grind down the bumpstops if you have to
