Fiberglass Headliner...
Anyone every thought about fiberglassing their headliner and painting it the color of the car? I was sitting around trying to think of a way to make my car a little different and this came to mind. I was gonna try it on a junker I've got laying around to see how it works first of course but if anyone has attempted it I would like to know how it went.

Black- 99 WS.6 - Modified
Never thought about it. Might be kinda tough to get it even, and depending on how the car is drivin it may crack and split. Those would be the only issues I could think of offhand. If it works, post it up with some pics!
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
It def. would original, but...
As stated, getting it in would be alot of fun, you would have to piece it in or every so foolishly mold it in the car.
Could crack if its too tight of a fit.
It would also make the surfaces you touch alot hotter on a sunny day as the roof would reflect any light that hits it right back down?
It also might make it brighter in there?
Not trying to get your hopes down, I actually hope you try it. I'm very interested how it would turn out.

Actually saw this done on tv but they put the car on a rotisserie (i think that how you spell it) and did all the work with the car upside down they just put the fiberglass directly on the roof so they didnt worry about getting it in and out of the car

But if you uhave t-tops wouldn't it be pretty easy to maneuver the headliner in and out without flexing it? I would think your biggest problem would be body flex.

come on guys. Having exterior colored pieces in your car is tacky ricers stuff. Why not do some kinda vinyl or suede?
This idea sounds like it would be pretty tacky IMO.
