Fiber glass or not

OK HERES A DUM QUESTION I WAS THINKING OF GETTING MY LIDS POWER COATED SO HERE COMES A DUM QUESTION IS THE HOOD ON 02 FIBERGLASS BECAUSE I WAS THINKING OF POWER COATING THE HOOD ALSO BUT NOT SURE I THINK ITS FIBER GLASS

I think the OE style Firebird/Formula/TransAm hoods are metal.
The WS6 hoods may be fiberglass or other type of product that is NOT metal.

What do you have? How heavy is it? Can't you tell by tapping on it?
Get a magnet & a towel. Try it, ...

But why, ..., Why in the hell would you want to powder-coat the hood?!?
And by 'Lids', I imagine you are rerferring to the 'lids' over the headlights?!?

well have you had any rocks hit your front end iam getting sick of looking at chips of paint missing on my fricking lids and hood got to be a better way of fixing this and paint dont stop chips power coating is alot harder

WS6 hoods are fiberglass. I don't think powdercoating is a good solution though, maybe keep your distance behind the person infront of you on the highway....

Chipped paint is unavoidable..

Especially if it's a DD..

You can minimize the damage by not following the person in front of you too closely, but you'll still get some chips reguardless..
