False advertising
I don't know about you guys , but I feel if you are going to put flames or some other kind of saying or decal on your car, you better be able to back it up. On the way to work this morning , I came up on a red 5.0 that had a horse looking thing with its arms crossed in front. The decal read, " Only little boys wear bowties". I then proceeded to pull next to him and he hit the gas. Needless to say it was hard to read the back of his car when you are 4 cars in front if him. I was just wondering what you guys thing about the decal thing. By the way I found out today that it is very true that 350 z's don't amount to much.

I think decals are retarded, enless your advertising for a business and even then I think people tend to get carried away.

I think some cars look good with flames on them as long as they are painted on and not stickers but as far as sayings and crap like that it just looks like shit!

Id agree, If you have a hardass decal on your car, you better back it up. Certain Decals look good on certain cars, i guess its just up to the owner.

Current best: 10.60/126.8- 1998 Pontiac TA WS6
My experience has been Ford owners LOVE to talk alot of smack to us GM guys. I guess it goes both way, but I never give Ford a second thought. Maybe thats why they don't like us, cause we look down on them..

the absolute worst case of this false advertising ive seen was on a guys car i used to work with. it was an 83 fox body with about 200,000 miles. just pulled it off the farm. all different color body panels, and i would be suprised if it ran below a 19 in the state it was in (very suprised). he had a huge cobra on his back windshield (when i say huge, i mean huge) with a bowtie in its throat....
he said "hey man check that out. fuck chevy."
i said "ha ha, youre wife looks alot like your brother."
cuz she did.....
but seriously.....

I have painted on flames and I have always had trouble finding someone to race. So owning my bird has been a little boring not having many people to mess with. Or maybe it's because I laugh at them when they pull up next to me and look like they want to race.

I think you guys ran into a couple of bad 350Z drivers. I really wouldn't call a Z a slug. It keeps up for about the same $'s and the problem is you can't buy a new Bird or Camaro anymore so .... it's a good option.
I own a 350Z that is stock and with slicks on it I can run 13.4 in the quarter and most of the time she's in the 13.6 range.
My Firebird would pull a 13.0 in the quarter on slicks stock and most of the time stock she was in the 13.4 range. Now she hit a 12.69 recently and does 12.85 consistantly.
The thing is the Z need to get to 50mph or so before it turns on. It seems a bit slow cruising around town I have to admit. I don't have the fun factor the Bird does around town.
I still love the torque that my Bird put out and that's why I haven't sold it.
The other thing is that it cost bank to mod a Z for power. On the bird a couple of grand can do wonders. I don't plan on modding my Z. I do plan on do more mods to my Bird.
Really guys the Z isn't a bad car out of the box for the bucks.

Well ship your car up Secondgearscratch. Or maybe we could race in Vegas, I'll borrow my friends procharged 02 SS. Either way it would be fun.

I'd like to have some ghost flames put on my Bird with little flying Firebirds coming out of them or something like that.
That would be kewl.
