Exhaust/Tips on Trans Am
I like the look of the corsa tips, but don't want to pay the price for the brand name tips. These on ebay look similar, what do you guys think? Anyone have these?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dual-...Q5fAccessories
Also are there any other recommendations for tips that look like corsas? Are 3.5" dual tips or 4" dual tips better looking? (anyone have pics of either?)
What I am planning on doing is keeping my stock catback and just adding a magnaflow muffler, as well as Pacesetter LT/TSP ORY. I believe that the pacesetter LTs will allow enough ground clearance for if I decide to lower my car 1" or so down the road. (advice on this is appreciated as well).
I guess I will need to make a custom ORY to stock catback connector so that they will fit, right? Since its 3" diameter ORY going to stock 2.xx" catback pipes.
Thanks for the help, money is rolling in with it being summer and me working and I already got my LS6 intake delivered this week.

I personally like 4" dual tips the best and if you are unsure here is a picture of what they look like.
These are 6LE "corsa clones". Also I wouldn't keep the stock catback.

The 4" look good. I am going to have to see some 3.5" to get a direct comparison. How much should i be expecting to pay for a catback with no tips? I can't seem to find any that way but I would rather not basically pay for tips twice.
Edit: Are those 4" tips up in the molded bumper far enough or are they hanging down too far?

Pacesetters fit pretty good and shouln't give you any clearance issues, you could also buy a ory and then just get a adapter that will reduce the size of the exhaust to the 2.X inches of the stock catback. Some muffler shops will be able to make it fit fine without an adapter and weld it up real good. The afterthoughts corsa look alikes are pretty good and cheaper than those. They also have a actual angled fit to them which I thought looked better. That's where I got mine from:

I checked out afterthoughtsauto and I believe that they are discontinued, if these are the tips you are referring to.

But the tips on your car look amazing.

I may get the Magnaflow Catback. Both kind of tips look great to be honest.

I think you got enough info on the tips, you could google search quite a lot. My only imput would be to reiterate that you should *not* keep the stock catback. Spending money on tips, ORY and LT's and a muffler.. cough up 300 extra and get the normal magnaflow catback. You would definitely see some power loss if you don't and it won't sound as good. Here's my catback if ya care, though if you're set on dual tips, the 3.5 imo look best.
2002 Black/Ebony M6 WS6: Lid, Filter, Smooth Bellow, P&P TB (!Bump Stop), Magnaflow Cat-Back (dumped after the axle), 4.10s, Hypertech ME Tune, eibach springs 4/4, LCA relocating brackets, PHB, free mods, 17" TTMs.

I am going to have to agree... The Dual/Dual Exhaust tips look like they are made for the specific cutouts in the factor Trans Am Bumpers.
