Exhaust help! PLEASE HELP

I was looking at buying a hooker true dual exhaust. It doesn't come with cats, so I would have to put them in before I get the car inspected again. How do you add cats for a true dual exhaust on a 2002 ws6 trans am? Has anyone done this?

Buy some high flow bullet cats and mount them as close to the collectors as you can by either welding them in or using high quality band clamps. Be careful of your clearances though as cats run very hot. (Total deja vu on answering this question...)

If you don't wish to run cats, perhaps you could have a modified Y pipe converted to an X pipe to have cats, and removable with just some socket wrenches and effort. Then you can reinstall your catless pipes in place.
