I had longtube headers, off road why and a 3 ft straight pipe temporarily (2 days) and it sounded like poop. I have a vid somewhere. The sound o the car is sweet but the noise the exhaust isn't. U need a muffler to give it a nice tone. Even if you go woth bullet mufflers it'll sounds 100x better

Agree, tried straight pipes on other cars and sound was more annoyance than anything else, appears a low-restriction muffler is needed to smooth out the engine pulses and rough edges.

We tried it on my friend Formula he had at my buddies Midas, sounded terrible. Installed 2 dynomax bullets and it sounded so much better, little to loud and annoying for my taste. I like my exhaust fairly quiet unless I step on it them I want the noise. I learned my lesson with a convertable 5.0 not to make it too loud, always had to pull over to answer the phone. I need to be able to talk to people or dealerships who call to have their cars fixed even if I'm doing 70 on the highway, hate having to say hold on while I stop. If you want loud the bullets will give you loud.

Is there going to be a noticible sound difference from straight pipes with mufflers (single flows) to having a crossover pipe (x-pipe) with single flows?
