enlighten me...
am i understanding correctly that there were no hardtop t/a's built from 98-02? i know there were some formula's, but i could swear i saw a few hardtop t/a's on here somewhere.

nope. no hardtop late 4th gen trans Ams. formulas and maros got them tho.

If you saw any it was most likely that they took a Formula and changed out T/A parts

According to the numbers I found at trans am world they did build 2 1998 non t-top t/a's. No wonder noones ever seen one.

Yes www.transamworld.com When you get there choose 4th gen history and it will have production figures. They don't breakdown production into t-tops and non t-tops for every year but they did for 98.

These 2 cars were likely the early production Magazine test cars as a White hardtop Trans Am graced the cover of Car & Driver back then. This car also had cloth interior, which makes it minus 2 options that were standard on the regular production T/A's.
Also of note is the 2 Formula Droptops, as the convertible roof was discontinued on the Formula model starting with the `98 model year.
BTW both those Formies were Red WS6's aswell 1 A4 and 1 M6.Last edited by 9T8W66; 06-30-2010 at 03:59 PM.

I need to find a lot of people who want these and I'll start finding Trans Am body parts to add toFormulas's if there is money in it.
1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
